Influenza Vaccination Programme - 2020 / 2021

Influenza Vaccination Programme – 2020/2021

We are currently making plans for our 2020 flu campaign.
As you can imagine this year is going to be more challenging than in previous years. We are governed with what we can do based on delivery timescales and on order numbers of the flu vaccination that are placed and agreed in 2019.

The over 65 age group will be the first group to receive vaccines this year. It will be especially important that when you receive your letter or TEXT message you read it thoroughly as there are wide-scale differences in this year’s process.

To help maintain social distancing this year’s flu days will be midweek and will be at the Dinnington Surgery. Your letter or TEXT message will give you a timeslot for the vaccination. Please make sure that you arrive at you time slot. Please do not come earlier than your allocated time. The time slots will allow us to control the number of people in the surgery at any one time and keep you safe during your visit. When you enter the surgery please wear a face covering.

PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE SURGERY UNTIL YOU RECEIVE A LETTER OR TEXT.

We will update this page when the letters are sent out.

REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS

From April 2017 the way you order your repeat prescription is changing.

From April your pharmacy will no longer be able to order your repeat prescriptions on your behalf.  You (or your carer/nominated family member/friend) will have to order your repeat prescription directly from the GP Practice

You can still have repeat prescription requests sent to a pharmacy of your choice and your pharmacy will still be able to deliver prescriptions to your home if required.  Pharmacies can continue to collect prescriptions from the GP Practice.

We are working with NHS Rotherham Clinical Commissioning Group to ensure the changes have minimal impact on our patients.  There are a number of ways you can order your repeat prescription:

1.  Complete the tear off slip to the right of your repeat prescription and hand it to reception at your registered practice.

2.  Online (please remember you will need to sign up at Reception before using online services)

3.  Post your repeat prescription request to your registered practice.

If you have any concerns regarding this change please speak to a Receptionist.

Below is a leaflet with additional information.
