NHS COVID 19 VACCINATION SERVICE
Anston Medical Centre is an NHS COVID 19 Vaccination Service Site for the patients of Rother Valley South Primary Care Network. Dinnington Group Practice is a member of this network.
We are actively contacting patients by telephone in the following categories to book them in for their vaccination. Please do not telephone the practice for an appointment.
1. Any patient who is aged 50 and over
2. Any patient who is aged 16 and over who has an underlying health condition
3. Any patient of any age who shares a household with an immunosuppressed patient.
You can book an appointment via email, please send your email to:-
email@example.com please state your full name, date of birth and registered practice. You will receive a response with a date and time of your appointment. All appointments are at Anston Medical Centre.
Any patients who have a query regarding a booked COVID 19 vaccination appointment must contact the practice they are registered with our receptionists are unable to assist patients from other practices in the Primary Care Network.

IMPORTANT NOTICE-Novel Coronavirus
We understand that you may have many questions and queries with regards to the evolving situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19). To try to help with these we have created this “frequently asked questions” section of our website.
This is the best advice we can give you at this time and we hope it is useful. Please do take a look at it before you call the surgery. We will aim to regularly update this section.

If you suspect that you have the Coronavirus
Please do not leave your home and self isolate for 10 days.
If you or another person in your household develops ANY of these symptoms:-
New continuous cough OR fever OR loss of/ change in smell or taste
Please do not leave your home and self isolate for 14 days.
DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY STAY HOME AND TELEPHONE 111 FOR ADVICE.
Evening and Weekend Appointments
You can now book evening and weekend appointments at 4 hubs based across Rotherham
The appointments are routine which means they must be booked in advance and are not for urgent problems. You can book an appointment by contacting your usual GP Practice where you are registered, they will have access to all the available appointments .
The hubs will have appointments with any one or more of the following clinicians. GP, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurse and Health Care Assistant. The receptionist at your GP Practice will help to direct you to the right appointment type.
The Hub Surgeries are held at the following times and locations:
Dinnington Surgery – (New Street, Dinnington, S25 2EZ)
-Saturday Mornings (8am – 12 noon)
Broom Lane Surgery – (Broom Ln, Rotherham S60 3EW)
-Monday, Tuesday, Thursday an Friday (6.30pm – 8pm)
-Saturday Mornings (8am – 12 noon) and (12 noon - 1pm)
-Sunday Mornings (8am – 12 noon) and (12 noon - 1pm)
Kilnhurst - Magna Group Practice
- Monday, Wednesday (6.30pm - 8pm)
Valley Health Centre - Magna Group Practice
- Saturday Mornings (8am - 12 noon)
TEXT MESSAGE REMINDERS
As from 1st February 2017, if we have your mobile phone number on our records we will send you a text reminder of your upcoming appointment. From this message you will also be able to cancel your appointment by replying to the text.

From April 2017 the way you order your repeat prescription is changing.
From April your pharmacy will no longer be able to order your repeat prescriptions on your behalf. You (or your carer/nominated family member/friend) will have to order your repeat prescription directly from the GP Practice
You can still have repeat prescription requests sent to a pharmacy of your choice and your pharmacy will still be able to deliver prescriptions to your home if required. Pharmacies can continue to collect prescriptions from the GP Practice.
We are working with NHS Rotherham Clinical Commissioning Group to ensure the changes have minimal impact on our patients. There are a number of ways you can order your repeat prescription:
1. Complete the tear off slip to the right of your repeat prescription and hand it to reception at your registered practice.
2. Online (please remember you will need to sign up at Reception before using online services)
3. Post your repeat prescription request to your registered practice.
